The Women leading rural entrepreneurship – WoLeRE component of the “Rural Economic Development-New Economic Opportunities” program, financed by the USAID, aims to enable women living in the rural areas to become actively involved in economic development through their empowerment.

Introductory trainings have been initiated and conducted covering the topics of entrepreneurship basics, marketing, and communication competencies development, as well as the development of an understanding of gender-based violence and a coordinated approach to its various issues. Women from different rural communities of Armenia have been actively involved in the training process.

The courses intend to equip women in rural areas with the essential knowledge and skills on entrepreneurship to increase their understanding and awareness of the process of initiating new business ideas or improving the established business in the agriculture sector.
